It's day three but it already feels like we've been here for a while, though not in a bad way. We have been eating a lot. We had two nice, fairly fancy dinners with my parents on Sat and Sun night, one at a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Palermo Hollywood, one of the new hip neighborhoods, and another at a more 'classic' Italian place downtown, near all the fancy hotels and such.
On Sunday we had milanesas for lunch and then went over to my cousin's Alejandro and his wife Carla's place; I hadn't seen Ale in a number of years and it was nice to see them and his family. After that we went over to the San Telmo neighborhood, one of old neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Every Sunday there's a big street fair with lots of artesanĂas for sale, though we got there around 5pm where everything was starting to close.
Later that night we went to see a very good shoebox theater production of Cat on a hot tin roof (La gata en un tejado de zinc caliente), and met up again with my parents for dinner at the above mentioned Italian restaurant. At just after 10pm, the restaurant was pretty much packed. People (old people, at that), were still coming in to eat at around 11:30pm. We skipped desert, but stopped on our way home at one of the big ice-cream chains, Freddo, and took some yummy ice-cream to go.

Mm tasty milanesas. I still remember the ones you used to make.
Post some pictures if you get some time.
It's so nice to see Ale and family! Thanks for posting the pictures! I hope you guys fit into your coach seats on the flight home, after all that pascualina, pasta frola, milanesa, matambre, chori-pan, freddo dulce de leche, medialunas, etc!
